I liked high viz in the begining.

After awhile I decided it gives me false security. don't see you. Don't ever pretend that they do.

plus it gets dirty and looks grungy. Throw on a high-viz vest if you want. In the end I decided it made me a better target.

I say gear up like a boss. Buy a good jacket with CE Armor. Add padding in the muscle parts. Then custom-fit some carbon fiber panels so you look like Batman. Then use some E.L. wire to make it Tron-style.

If you still want something in day-glo, just get a mohawk.

If safety is a concern, then stray away from textile. I have burned straight through a jacket in 3 places and have a pretty big scar to show for it. Leather or nothing IMO. The road rash hurt way worse than the 2 torn acl's. I had to peel the bandage off everyday. Get the colors you want, If they don't see you, they don't see you, color isn't going to make the difference.

There are alot of textiles out there as good as leather, but they're not cheap easier.

That you're right. There are dress leathers that won't even stop a mosquito.
