I feel pretty fortunate for the few times I was caught doing the deed. The last one came from some friendly peace officer in some west chicago suburb not to be named. I only rode the wheelie through the top of 2nd gear, then set her down. Cop walked up and said verbatim, "Thanks for stopping, I can't believe you stopped". 2 tickets later (operating 1 wheel & excessive speeding) he followed me to an ATM where I withdrew $200, followed me to the station where I posted bond $$$ and he handed back my license. Moved back to Texas the next week and never went to court to face the penalties. I just avoid that suburb when I travel to those parts of the world now. Your situation could be worse, but you definitely found an a-hole in the group.

don't know. My license was never suspended. And you forfeit your license roadside in IL when given a citation, that's the bond unless you post up the necessary cash (like I did). I literally moved to TX and got a new DL within weeks so it never caught up to me. , pretty sure I got my TX license before the court date....but, I can't say I went back to face a judge. Also, I don't believe Texas and IL shared dmv data at the time either.

That doesn't increase public safety.
It increases brick wall safety and teaches his friends to be careful not to get caught.

The public is in very little danger when somebody wheelies. Unless we're taking about stand up, 70mph, on the freeways, in traffic, wheelies...which we're not.

Certainly not enough danger compared to the amount of cost and hassle for the arrested person. The punishment doesn't fit the crime.

That said, props to the OP for not crying about it. Sounds like he's taking it straight on with little whining.

I guess people are not known to be inside garages. http://abc13.com/news/motorcyclist-s...-home/1143538/

Besides posting, what will be your first steps for getting the law changed?

I missed where it mentioned he was doing a wheelie.

Besides trolling, what will be your first contributions to the forum?

It sucks but they don't play especially in that area. Get a lawyer.

Go pick up your bike from Bean's house

Save the on one wheel for roads past 1097.
