Yeah, a HPD cop used to ride with us. I made a remark to him that if we got pulled over he could get us out of tickets. He said, "if DPS stops us it wouldn't matter, those guys aren't human."

He was a at first, pulled me over, walked up to me, he said, "put the kickstand down, take your backpack and helmet off, you're going to jail." I said, "seriously?" then he said, "yup you're under arrest for reckless driving" stuck me in the car and that was it

luckily my friend knew someone in the area so my bike wasn't towed

Recreational vehicles to some means toys to others. And if you are using that toy to do reckless things on public roads, officers will use the full extent of the law to put a cap on your level of shenanigans. I've seen guys just gun it up to the speed limit and get tickets for reckless driving and they didn't wheelie, burn rubber, or weave through traffic... it'll be your word against theirs and theirs usually will win in this situation.

Some of them, can be okay. I was pulled over in Wisconsin last summer. Doing 70 in a fifty-five zone. Deputy was coming towards me and as soon as I saw him pull off on the shoulder I knew I was busted. Pulled over and took off my helmet and backpack, asked him how he was doing. I think he was surprised that a guy on an R6 was not a and that I was probably fifteen years older than he was. I was polite and kept my sense of humor. Got a warning ticket and then joked with him about how I was going to have to go faster now to make up for lost time. That's okay he says there are more of us out there. Some of them are decent and some want to exercise that power. I always thought that being able to wheelie showed a better understanding and control of the bike. Go figure.

the one time I didn't turn my camera on, it was on my helmet too. I literally get the wheel up higher by just going over bumps in the road and gassing it.

I feel like getting arrested for that was bullshit at least arrest me on an actual wheelie, that I can accept.
