Update on my accident

It's been a long time sense my accident post so I'll start with a short statement about the accident.

April 2014 I was sitting on my 04 Daytona 600 at a flashing red light on Airport facing east at Mosley when a guy in a 2013 F-250 decided the rear of my bike needed some character.
He informed HPD that he assumed the light was about to turn green and that he was checking on his dog when he hit me.

Long story short, the bike was totaled. I suffered a broken tarsal navicular ( bone that pretty much holds the foot, ankle, and leg in place) and tore my knee up. I had 2 surgeries ( knee to put in pins while my foot healed and another to remove the pins and do a knee scrape to remove built up fluid).

After a year of arguing John Clark at Stephen Boutros, LTD got the extent of the policy. I walked away with a very good check and the insurance company will continue paying me every month for another 5 years.

I'm still looking for another bike, but won't be able to ride for another few months due to yet another accident. On Dec 7th ( last month) I was copilot of a helicopter headed into a museum in Brazoria Co. When we lost all control and spun to the ground fairly hard. Needless to say, my left side had been beat to lately.

If anyone is interested I have pictures of the bike accident, my leg, and the helicopter crash. If theirs enough interest I'll get them swapped over to my new phone and upload them.

All I have on this phone as of right now is the helicopter crash. I'll attempt to upload a few of those and work on getting the bike pictures transferred and loaded.

Due to an ongoing FAA/ NTSB investigation the YouTube farewell video remains nameless. I'll edit the video when they are done adding our names at the end.

So far they have located a broken bell crank ( transfers cyclic control to the rotor head) and a sheared torque tube (pedal control).

We were at about 30ft on approach. Almost at a hover, maybe 5 knots. Nose went straight down. Pulled back to get the nose up that's when we lost effectiveness of the tail and she spun counterclockwise 4 full rotations on the way to the ground. We basically hit on my side going backwards. All in All, the ride was about 5 seconds.

TCX street.
More of a touring shoe than a full blown boot. My foot was under the shifter when I was hit, already in 1st and about to leave the light. After the initial impact his truck glanced down the left side. Most likely forcing my foot through the shifter, just going by the position of the shifter arm and missing parts after the hit. The picture of the big bruise is almost centered behind my left knee.

What amazes me is I was in a wheelchair for a couple months after the motorcycle accident but I walked away from the helicopter crash with a few hairline fractures and most likely a concussion from being knocked out.
7 lives left I guess......
