Mom text me today and said cops just left her house and they sent her a special cop that has ridden bikes since he was.20. Lol. She said he said he wouldnt have paid $450 for it. So now she wants the difference. Mom now says she willing let him keep the bike if i give them $300. I asked her for the cops number so i could call and verify his statement. She said no.

Hypothetically... if she states she is willing to let him keep it via text would that be.considereD comsent?
I'd tell her to take a walk for trying to hustle me

That's my point. She has the bike. He has the money. Maybe I would've considered taking it back prior to her trying to hustle.

Hustle? I call it negotiating. He can hope she's not smart enough to take him to court. If she does he'll be back to square one plus paying for her court costs.

I posted it because it was half put together. But the guy asked me if.i could get.it running for him. S i agreed. Since he.said it was a first street bike.
Id take.it back because now that i put it together i could get more.for.it.
If she.wants.to.keep it as is... i still made a profit. Its a win win.

Well hate to tell you, but it already is that kind of America. If the kid wants the bike and paid for it should be a done deal. I know that's not how it works according to counselor Bevo, but what are the parents gonna do? Ground him or sell the bike themselves? Kid made up his mind, its there problem to deal with now. Having two kids myself, if that happened to one of them and they bought a up car or something, yeah it would sucks but that's the consequences of their decision to go behind my back or not ask for help. Its the school of life and sometimes the best lessons are the ones hardest learned.

I didn't write the law, I'm just explaining it. I could give a rat's what happens, I'm just posting what can happen. If any high school girl wants to her coach or teacher, that's fine with me too

Sounds like the stupid mom here just thinks her son got screwed on the price. Why else would she come at you with the legal side of things, but then back track and talk about the price. I'm a gambler and kind of an , but I'd call her bluff if it were me. Either that or she plans on trying to sell it for what she paid and she gets to pocket the 300 bucks she wants back from you. Screw that bro, call her bluff. Most people are far too lazy to actually take you to court.

Do our professions give our vehicle evaluations more validation? I work for a motorcycle dealership, so I guess my opinion isn't as valid as some cop but I'll give you a better vehicle estimate for her!
