LMS 7/14 Thanks

A real quick THANK YOU to the staff.....Alanzo, Derek, Jason, Larry, and Bill Gu3 for keeping everyone safe. We had some very interesting situations yesterday and the pace was slower due to some new/less experienced participants in the group. A few folks spooked by the close passing, but all in all a great day with about two minutes of rain that never slowed down the track. FINALLY!!
Only one lowside late in the day and only two small run off's that I was aware of. Great day everyone. We got very lucky with the rain, went out for Tristan to race his kart on Sunday and it was POURING!!!! Fortunatly he loves to race in the rain, 2nd again, seems to follow the old man's foot steps.

Weird sliding and seeing your bike slide faster than I was. Really appreciate Alonzo keeping me alive by flaggin other riders from hittin me. And I really appreciate Bill and Glen sheets not running me over when they had the chance.

Great day though no rain and I got some good times without the traffic I think I could have gotten into the high 40s. Now I just need to get some parts so Doug(what a good friend) can help me get the ole gixxer back together.

.

That might explain a lot to you Bill as that Pirelli didn't have enough on the left side to make the keyhole with you ridin' Doug style............ Saw some pics and that tire was in that shape before you went down so I'll call user error on that one. You need some suspention set up help in a bad way.

Where did you see the pic of the tire? I talked to doug and he said the suspension is right on where it is suppose to be setup for my weight.

did you set up the suspension after tire change also?

i'm sure you already know, but different brands of tires have different carcasses (sp?), and require different air pressures.

thus changing your suspension a bit.

i may be wrong, but that's my understanding.

We were so lucky to avoid the rain on Saturday. great weather, not too hot and a little breeze. :notworthy

Thanks Buck for letting me take Woody out when my bike broke on me. That Honda's suspension felt amazing. I wish I had a lap timer on it because there's no way I didn't set a new personal best for me while on it. I definitely need to get with Cambora for some suspension work ASAP.

Martin and Mark, I hope you guys had a great time and I hope I was able to effectively communicate the concepts we were working on throughout the day. I know we didn't cover a lot of different areas, but that was intentional. One step at a time. Both of you guys did great

And man, it was AWESOME to see Alonzo out there pushing himself again. Welcome back bro.

Derek glad you enjoyed Woody, but gotta give the props to Patrick and the Motorcycles Unlimited boys for the latest set up. Patrick just changed my NASTY fork oil and also refreshed the Penske. With Brandon racing an RR this year they have the hot set up for that bike as well as anyother. It's a haul up there to 1960, but beats the ride to Cresson for Jimmy's voodoo. You can't go wrong with either one in my book. THANKS PATRICK!!!! Glad I'm not the only one in love with that bike, can't see starting over with an '07 model just yet.......
