I have ridden a little dirt in the past and plan on focusing primarily on dirt this year. I think a group of us may hit the trails in the forest next weekend. I will post up a ride if the weather looks good. May hit Rio on some Wednesdays too.

And if you have a girlfriends/wives that ride... Let me know.. Larry does the ODODB calendar for the guys meetups, but I manage one for the girls and can share the link

Sounds like it. Carb is fine, runs really really strong. Only thing that is an issue is the throttle return spring, haven't felt like fixing it yet. Oh and the rear brake, needs to be bled

Glad to hear it runs good, I never did get to ride it. He brought it to 3 palms once, but neither one of us hopped on it. As a matter of fact I don't even think it was ever unloaded. Enjoy it!

It was pretty last minute, but I'll start posting up more often in the rides section when we go with some advanced notice.

This may sound dumb, but how strict are they on checking spark arrestors in your exhaust at the forest? I run a Danmoto pipe on my DR650 which has no option for an arrestor. I've thought about maybe rigging one up with a drain screen, but I guess if all else fails I can go through the pain in the of throwing the stock exhaust back on, but then the bike would be pretty restricted since the carb and airbox are both modified.

Meh, they aren't really strict unless it's extremely dry. I'd rig up something with drain screen though just to be safe.
