Dirt bikes

I picked up a 07 rmz 450 the other and all I wanna do is ride! But I don't know many people with dirt bikes.. I have never been to an actual track but am down to go or just hit some trails. So if you got a dirtbike and wanna ride or have some planned please let me know!

Gear? Do u have the Forest sticker? Spark arrestor? These are all required for the Sam Houston National Forest. Buelligan has a group called ODODB, old dudes on dirt bikes, that are out there all the time during the week, very knowledgeable bunch and most are fast.

Yeah, you'll definitely want to get some dirt specific gear. Boots for sure. My foot bangs the back tire/swingarm at least once a day at the track. Pants too, as you'll soon find that jeans are pretty uncomfortable with the amount you'll be standing/sitting/shifting around on the bike. I'm at 3 palms, Rio or ultimate at least twice a week so you should definitely give those a try. Ultimate would be the easiest for a beginner. 3 palms will be your first trip out because it's all sand. And Rio is pretty sweet if it doesn't rain for a few weeks.

Edit: the SHNF is really fun too but it's a totally different animal. You'll be standing most of the time and using a ton of body English. Oh, and get ready for the woops and roots, lol.

I'm in Atascocita, Rio Bravo is about 10 min from my house (maybe 20 min for you depending on where in kingwood ur at)...they have a nice smooth forgiving track and some trails...deff get some boots..I got a pair of O'Neils at cycle gear for $109.... (after I almost ruined my A stars). Cycle gear also has inexpensive dirt pants and jerseys...I have a spare set if u need to borrow it.
