Not trying to offend you, but HID's have been a long standing issue with most of us. It is few and far between to see a proper installation.

If you want to spend money on your bike, spend it doing a track day

I knew this one guy who refused to buy multiple helmet visors... instead he purchased a 'blacked-out' visor and installed brighter lights (HID's) on his bike. Needless to say, he wrecked one night when it started to rain because he also refused to apply rainx to his visor... which, he also decided it was more convenient to keep a squeegee under his passenger seat

The moral of this short story: Be smart, buy the right items for all riding conditions and avoid trying to short cut safety items for style.

I put HID's on my buell. But I have projector lenses from the factory. I did use 55 watt ballast. But I also didn't get the highest Kelvin value. I got 6k. I love them. They are bright as . Which is what I wanted. I used to drive around with high beams on. Now I don't with the hid kit. To the op. Mine came from xenonhids.com. lifetime warranty on parts and 1 specific to your bike. Personaly. I don't care if I blind somebody. I wanna be seen and see better in the dark. Just my .02

DDM tuning has a good kit. I've had them on my R6 for around 3 years now with no issues..

Also for all the cry babies, I could absolutely care less if you flash your high beams at me. If you have to flash your high beams that means you actually see me, which in my world is a good thing.

Some of the China lightbars are actually pretty good. Better to have and not need than need and not have. Stock headlights on the Wrangler are straight garbage. I don't get the obsession with light bars but to each their own. As long as we're not talking about someone spending $1,500 for a Rigid...

Yeah even better when you order on dhgate for a fraction of the price and you can scoop up a china hoover board while you are at it. Because walking or turning on the brights. Some people are ready for the sun to burn out.

I have the rigid spots but yea I'm not spending that kind of cash on a light bar. I still have the stock headlights and yes they're absolute trash. The led cube fog lights help out quite a bit tho. I fish a lot at night btw. Believe me the light bars come in handy when your 15 miles down the beach in the middle of the night. But yea the posers with light bars that dont actually use their jeep are . I use my jeep for what it's designed to do. How is your jeep coming btw?

Yeah, I guess...

I have to question the intelligence of anyone that buys hids, take the time to retrofit them into their vehicle and flip them on and say, yeah, BLUE! Yah know, because blue would be the best color to use at night.

I haven't even with it yet. Too much going on right now and all my spare time since I bought it went to riding. Now that's it a little colder hopefully I'll tear into it soon. Really started thinking about going coilovers... I dunno. I'll probably just do something like RK X-Factor and some ATX Slabs on 35s and call it a day.

I said that when I bought my first car. Well my dad bought it when I was 16 and I paid him back. It was a blue 1969 nova and the first thing out of my mouth was, yea blue!! Then he slapped me on the back of the head for cussing

Edit: Yes I put 6k hids in it too lol

HID = High Intensity Discharge

It's a smaller bulb but bright for its size. Tends to run hot, leading to fire and electrical issues. Measured in Kelvin (K), 4000k = yellowish; 6000k is "diamond" white; higher values lead to blue and purple.

LED is Light Emitting Diode. Not a bulb at all. I can't tell you much more than that.
