Voila!

I got a pair of dirt boots a few weeks back. People started to ask my why I got the boots if I don't own a dirt bike.

Little did they know I'd have the bike in my posession soon enough. I present to you my 98 XR400R

Voila!

It's got a partial Baja kit, so there's only a few things it needs to get plated if I decide to go that route. I don't currently own a vehicle that can transport it.

Nice, great choice... you'll love that thing on the trails!
I think your back yard is a little to small for it so if you want to get it dirty at Outlaw (if the place ever dries out:eh let me know, plenty of room in my trailer if you need trans.

congrats!!

It's got the wiring for the headlight, tail light, and horn - but if I decide to plate it I'll need some help getting the right tail light socket and finishing the wiring.

I want to add a squeaky horn...

Yeah, I know for sure that my mini SUV can pull it, but I don't even have a hitch receiver. I'm trying to balance the cost of getting the bike plated vs. the expense of setting up the truck, buying/renting a trailer, storing it, etc.

You think that's old. I just bought this 79 XR500 from a guy in Phoenix for $500. I only bought it for the motors (came with a complete spare) since I run the same type in my flat tracker. But after my Dad picked it up for me and washed it, I think I'm gonna keep it just as it is and maybe do some vintage motocrossing with it.

I couldn't wait to get it off the trailer

174188718 M

I was told that I shouldn't even attempt to kick start it without donning my boots. (hey, they didn't say anything about the rest of my outfit!)

174188997 L

What do you mean there's no back-up starter button?

174189295 L

Biwwy (DFW_Warrior) delivered the bike to me from 200+ miles away.

SparkyPhotog took these pics, and also edited a quick video of me stressing the kick start routine!

Yeah, I'm a squid when I'm in a driveway and not on public streets.
