Went down tonight...

Luckily everything that hit pavement I'm replacing/ can replace.

Bar end, OEM turn signal, minor plastic side fairing, engine cover (wasn't going to replace) (will now)

Only injuries to me; hole in my jeans, scraped Palm (no gloves, hadn't had a chance to get any 'excuse')

How did it happen? How ever it was, take the time to consider it and learn from it, bro. Using it as a learning experience can really help you become a better rider.

My minimum gear is helmet, armored jacket, gloves, knee/shin guards, and boots, plus I've been riding a little while

Crappy thing is, y'all told me when I got my oil changed to get my tires changed.

I told you "oh, just two weeks I'll be fine"

Have an appointment to get some PR4s at 9:00am tomorrow (10 hours).

All the more reason to trust Patrick and the Motorcycles Unlimited guys. They told me what I knew I needed, and told me what I knew was the most important!

Going up Chimney Rock took a left onto the 59 feeder. Didn't see a huge pack of sand and bald tires the the Motorcycle Unlimited guys told me to replace. (Already have an appointment in like 9 hours)

Everything up is already on my list to replace....

Side signal indicators,
Clutch and Brake levers,
Bar ends,
Mirrors,

All OEM

It was really my own fault. I looked ahead of my lights in the turn, saw the dirt patch at the last second, tried to steer out instead of ride it out. Read end got away from me.

It's a good idea to ride in the same path that car tires travel, especially at intersections

There are usually islands of dirt/sand at a lot of intersections in Houston, that's why you stay in the same path that car tires travel.

I've got some A* gloves that are a few years old, with no damage you can have. They're not special, just basic black gauntlets with cf knuckles.
Free. Send me an address and I'll try and Mail em to you before I head back overseas.

(They're size large)
