CBR500R Side Cases

Hey All,

I bought a 2013 CBR500R and the guy that I bought it from had the 2 Shad side cases that were on it.

I personally do not plan on ever having to use them and dont particularly like the look of them.

The question is, Is there a market for used side cases and what does that market look like?

The guy said that the mounting hardware and the two side cases ran him about $600-$700. What would be fair market value for them? They are not in the best shape and really i just want to get some money back.

One picture shows the mounting hardware the other the actual sidecases.

If there are brackets that would fit my bike, I'd be interested in the cases. I'll have to search a bit though.

edit: Doesn't work for me. Check out www.shadusa.com for an idea of what kits they have available.

Apparently they fit almost every make and model. you just have to get a different bracket.

Obviously you'll get more money if you can sell the brackets to someone that can use them

Ideally, but realistically they are just taking up space in a closet. i never realized how expensive this stuff is though

the cases are like $440 new and the brackets are like $230

Find out what it cost brand new. Excellent shape: 85-90% Good shape: 80% Functional shape: 60% Poor shape: 15-20% At least this is how I generally price things out... if you absolutely need a certain amount, then price it at that amount and try to sell it. People will buy anything nowadays for an insane amount of money.
