TWS (Texas World Speedway) Lap Times?

What are some Good average and poor lap times at TWS (Texas World Speedway)? Riding a 600 what should be an ok lap time. Any idea what the average lap times for A B and C groups with LSTD? Just curious

On your CBR600RR,

you should be able to do 2:00-2:10s. ON stock tires, no mods.

That's a pretty decent pace.

I ran some low 2:10s in the rain, with street tires.

In the dry, when Jimmy, Irish and i were playing, we were all running in the 2:05-2:10s. I was on street tires, Jimmy was on Race tires, here's a small video clip of how we were taking the Horse Shoe (most dangers section of the track).

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...42932829197290

Now put a rider like Brandon on that 07 CBR600 with race rubber and some mods, and he'll run mid 1:40s..haha, but then again that's Brandon :P!

Granted ive been to the track twice, once with my f4i, once with the RR... the 2nd time i only got in 3 dry laps till the rain came down...

I might buy a lap timer and try to get those times down

Sweet video! i love that turn,, did my first and only knee drag right there

yep.....lap timer FTW

how will you know your progress without one? unless you don't care, and just enjoy the seat time....then lap timer would be a waste of money.

anything around 2:00 +/- is pretty fast. i think the average track rider will run 2:20

To my knowledge with LSTD the pace for the groups is something like this. Please understand these times are all dependant on track conditions.

A - You should be hovering around 2 minutes at the minimum.
B - 2:05 - 2:15
C - Anything above 2:15.

The main thing that changes much more then your lap times is how predictable of a rider you become around other riders on the track. This is one of the biggest factors that changes which groups you should be hanging out in.

My last trackday was July 2nd, And my first time in level 4 and I was running 2:20's not bad for being my first time in level 4.

I have no clue all I work on is keeping my lines predictable. I'm guessing somewhere between 2:05-2:10

edit: only a guess
