His onlt mistake was not not adding in a few details. No need to be mean. Lets not scare people off. Now, if its sarcasm...carry on.

, my bike is all stock for the moment (getting ready to fix that) but I'd still post pics of my baby anyways.

Flat Blue, nice bike, my EX wanted one just like it...probably still does. =]

That is the information we were looking for from post #1. We are not mind readers is all. Welcome to MH.com, most people make an intro thread. What side of town are you on?

everyone i've talked to prefers the 636. i haven't had a chance to ride the 07, so i can't compare, but i LOVE the 636...i'd almost trade my 10r for one if the right one came along.

I'm with that lil right above me. Both are great bikes, but I'll take my 636 over the 07 any day of the week. I'll take comfort and good amount of power over slightly better handling that I'm not good enough to use in the first place.

The the OP, our bikes are almost Twinkies. Just throw a Puig DB on there, and add a few scratches to the bike.

I talked about it with Patrick and he tells me the amazing thing about the 07 model is its lighter (less displacement obviously) and has amazing handling.

Its also more likely that the 05 and 06 636 models' transmissions go bad during the track because of if memory serves me right, the 3rd gear becomes after such long high reving. The 07 model has yet to be tested on the street in any case...at least from articles i read.

A fair amount of people have had problems with 2nd. Mine has been flawless, along with everyone else's I know. Someone just came out with a shift star, detent spring/arm(can't remember what it is) etc. . . to help stop the problem. I can't really give ya much info on it, as my bike has been perfect.

I hate to get involved with this... but that is fkn disgusting, what kind of genius takes a pic of his kids & posts it on a motorcycle forum while he's rankin on the thread starter for posting pics of his bike?

BTW welcome flat blue & nice bike I'm usually a man of few words also.

Just started having a problem with 2nd gear... Next upgrade is the Factory PRO EVO Shift STAR kit and a new clutch pack when it comes time to do my oil change.

http://www.factorypro.com/products/s...ctory_Pro.html

I'll get 2 birds with one stone that way!
