Smile New Rider, so green I'm still looking for a bike

New Rider here. Love the forum btw.
I have yet to ride (but I think I'll really love it) and actually have my MSF course at Awesomecycles this weekend. Looking to pick up a starter sportbike VERY VERY soon, and have been looking at used Honda and Kawasaki 250's so far at the recommendation of a buddy of mine from work, also a member on this forum.

Welcome,
Im in your area so if you have any questions or need help with something im around the corner.
The bikes your looking at are great learning bikes and would be happy with either. Now is the best time to buy a bike to get pretty good deals, but a sucky time to ride
And good luck on your course

with the weather in the mid 70's for the next couple of weeks I am thoroughly enjoying riding. I havent had any issue riding in weather as low as the "Low 40's"

The only time i dont ride is when it is raining.

Welcome to MH!

Any starter bike with 2 wheels will do for now! You'll out grow it very soon and once you are comfortable driving without a cage around you, you will probably have a long-term bike in mind. Don't let too many influences ruin your 2nd purchase bike... after you are comfortable on 2 wheels, buy whatever appeals most to you

Thanks!

Thanks all for warm welcome and the good advice. I'll keep it in mind! Part of me is hoping it really doesn't actually rain this weekend..

Welcome! Don't buy anything before this weekend. At the end of class, you'll receive several coupons, including some that are good for money off bikes.

Enjoy class!
