Well, when I lived in Houston area I lived off of Eldridge up near Louetta and it was very safe in that area. Can't tell you how many times we accidentally left our garage open all night. 2 motorcycles in there w/ keys in them, tools, etc. Never 1 thing taken. One time we left to go skiing for a week in Colorado and left our garage open.:BangHead: Neighbor noticed it after 2 days and remembered we were leaving town and he closed it for us.

Neighborhood/neighbors is the #1 thing on my list always when house shopping. No since having a nice house/apt if you're not safe...

I lived in the apartment complex, it was bad... you could get just about anything as you pulled into the drive... I moved out real quick when they fould the maintainance man shot in the head in the laundry room... the scariest thing is, I saw the shooters car pulling out of the driveway .. didn't know it at the time.... I was out of there the next weekend.. broke the lease.. didn't care ...

i had a potentially dangerous encounter with a crackhead NOLA on Little York yesterday. we bought about $1,500 in speakers and amps and were walking to the back of the parking lot to the truck and this Flava Flave lookin mothafu<ka came walkin up lookin shady as . he reached into his pocket and just as i was about to cold his he pulled out this fake a$$ lookin Rolex and tried to sell it to me for 2 bills. i told him i would give him $10 and he turned around and walked away without saying a thing. its funny, had i been black, you know d@mn well he wouldn't have tried to pull that b.s.. lmao

Don't know where in Pasadena you live, but I think my neighbors to the left of me would roast marshmellow's on my house if it were burning to the ground. Now the lady across the street - she reports to me if someone stands on the sidewalk and stares at my house for more than 5 seconds.

Apartments suck Mike, and I'm praying that you get moved quickly.

Be patient, and spare the mirrors!

screw apartments...I am pretty sure you can find a house in a nice neighborhood that you will pay the same amount a month you would for an apartment. Yes that means more responsibilties, like yard work and such, but that nothing compared to feeling like you and your family are in danger.

Please dont get me wrong not saying that neighborhoods are any safer, BUT in neighborhoods people have a tendency to watch out more for one another.

before I moved to Kingwood,TX I lived in Downtown Nashville...not a bad place to be but the Kurdish gangs :confused1 and Latino gangs :confused1 have over run the area...and crime is at an all time high. Katrina pushed all the rif raf over to Houston it seems because when I visited several years ago I don't remember seeing as many "shaddy" peps walking around.

Move up North...the rif raf up here will at least cut your grass before breaking in
