i am getting my family the F*CK out of this place!!!

so tonight im chillin with some brews and my computer while my kids are asleep. so around midnight i hear this knock. at first i thought it might be the tv in the living room, then i hear it again louder. so i check the peep hole and see nothing. then i crack the door and theres this guy bleeding all over the place asking for help. somebody beat the living out of this guy, so bad that hes bleeding out his ears. i call 911 and while im waiting for paramedics to show up i get a wet towel and try to get the guy to take. he was laying on my patio and couldnt grab it. i asked what happened, who did this, do you know where youre at, etc. and all i could get out of him what was coherent was "they jumped me". he was in pretty bad shape from the reaction of the paramedics when they arrived. i never gathered what happend to this guy, nor have i ever seen him before, but i definitely dont feel that my children are safe. not because of this one occurrence, but because of the rif-raf that likes to hang around and walk the complex at all hours of the night. keep in mind, my bike HAS been stolen twice so far from right here, and remember that that offered 1300 bux for it. im just getting a really bad feeling about this place from an accumulation of the time we've been living here. and the sooner we get out, the better.

You live in SE Houston... what else would you expect? You need to live "outside" of houston in the suburbs. I try my best to avoid 45 south between downtown and beltway 8 just because of all the hoodrats that are out and about.

i live past the beltway, almost to clearlake. i know something like this can happen anywhere, even the nicest and most expensive of neighborhoods, but yeah, too many hoodrats around here.

not any better on the sw.

the other day i got a notice from the apt management that someone in the complex was robbed at gunpoint.

two times earlier this year we got the same notice but they were robbed at knifepoint.

i guess we know where the money they robbed went to...
