Yamaha FJR1300 updated for 2016
Tourer gets upgrades including sixspeed box
YAMAHA has just revealed this updated FJR1300 with a new paint scheme and technical upgrades.
The biggest change for 2016 is the addition of a six-speed gear box, replacing the existing five-speed one.
It's also gained the assist and slipper clutch of the R1 to prevent rear wheel lock on aggressive downshifts and make the lever easier to pull.
It's got LED lights front and rear, with a reshaped tail unit and 'adaptive cornering' headlights. Three aditional LEDs above the left and right main headlights come on as the bike corners to help illuminate turns, using an inertial measurement unit to detect lean angle.
It's also got an updated instrument cluster while the matt and silver paint scheme is new.
Price is to be confirmed.
The updated model was revealed this morning at the Motorcycle Live show at Birmingham's NEC, which runs until Sunday.
