A New Helmet Cam Design

FUSAR Mohawk is on Indiegogo showing a new helmet cam design. Slim design camera, still and video, waterproof, black box recording, emergency contact if crashed, bluetooth connections, rider communication, etc. Looks interesting and it's already funded. Thoughts?

It looks neat but so few of these things actually materialize in any meaningful way whatsoever.

Lol aren't you a Debbie downer. I think it looks neat. I'd be interested to see the vid/audio quality not to mention the unlimited distance Bluetooth communication system

Not at all, but people get burned by funding projects like this more often than not. I'd love to see this come to market, I'd probably buy one

It's already been funded, coming to market in July. But marketing and hype will make people buy 1 million Gopro's this holiday. This device is exactly what most riders and adventurists have been wanting in one device.

"Coming to market" means nothing. So many of these things get funded and then chew up the funds and can't deliver product.

If you think they're going to bring this camera to market with $158k you're delusional. This thing does look pretty sweet, but I'll wait until I start to see some actual product reviews.

Remember that Skully helmet that is over a year behind schedule? Yeah, still waiting for that to drop, lol.

Speaking of the Skully, it is shipping in time for Christmas.

I think the Fusar Mohawk offers a better system. The Skully shows you a rearview and HUDS up display, but the Fusar Mohawk can move from helmet to helmet and has many communication and GPS location features the Skully didn't mention. The Skully is also more than twice the price.

That's what they said last Christmas too. Anyone have a tracking number yet?

Regardless of skepticism, it is great to see innovation that will enhance our riding experiences. This thing has some great feature ideas.

There are many small startup companies that proved that already.
Hey guys, I'm the founder of FUSAR. I wanted to join in the conversation to answer any questions you might have about our product, our team, our experience, etc. At a high level, we're a bunch of bike nuts that come from different product development backgrounds. We've brought hundreds of products to market, collectively.

We've also partnered with Flectronics, one of the world's largest manufacturers, to bring our product to market in a timely fashion. We've been working on the core technology behind Mohawk for 18 months and have operated on schedule throughout that entire duration. We understand that unexpected things are to be expected, and we always budget for that. Trust me when I say we've taken a very calculated approach. I don't think anyone is going to be more critical of these products than our team.

Any questions or feedback you guys have will be greatly appreciated. It's only going to help us make a better product, and that benefits everyone on the road.

Sounds great, thanks for joining up with us here at MH. I'm excited to see this product hit the commercial marketplace. Call me what you will, the only reason I don't have a GoPro on my helmet is because they're hideous and create tons of drag (, even my Sena creates enough drag to be very noisy). This product looks quite interesting.

That is pretty cool. I'm tempted to jump on it. Love the low profile vs. that of a go pro.

How about some MH discounts on that thing. Word of mouth is the greatest form of advertising.

We do a ton of group buys in my normal forum. We'd be happy to offer a discount if we got at least 5 people in. We can go even lower if we get at least 10 people... Let me know if that's something you guys are interested in and I'll be happy to set it up.
