My wifes ZX6 showed 90 mph at actual 70...my friends ZRX showed 85 at 70 actual...i knew mine would be off because of a sprocket change...

Cool! So you can install the horn when you install the healer. And now when your speedo says 70 it will be right and I won't be able to catch you guys. Guess I'll be going back to cbr250.net to find people to ride with/keep up with.

The extra weight of the horn will not allow me to achieve the desired speed to leave you so your still safe...

Just change your sprockets. Mine will do 105 with -3 rear. 115mph +2 -3.

I already did a sprocket swap. +1 in the front, -2 in the back. The trade off for going back the other direction isn't worth it. I don't like needing to shift gears every time I let the clutch out. This little bike just doesn't have the ponies to pull my 6' 190lb. faster than 80mph. I get lucky from time to time and hit 85. Downhill with a tail wind I hit 90 once for about 3 seconds.
I see yours is the ninja250. I think those were faster than the cbr from the factory anyway.

Being management I have to go in for at least half a day tomorrow. You guys will be gone and done by the time I could get to Brenham. Even if I do get half the day off.

Do you have a power commander or BAZZAZ? Full exhaust system? Light weight battery?

None of that. I do have a Coffman shorty exhaust to offset the weight of my 10lb horn. Morgstang knows what I'm talking about. Lol
