Ouch. At least you didn't tear it. My left shoulder has a damaged rotator cuff. Feels like there is a piece of glass in there. Never broke a thumb before. I bet that tickles.

That's kind of how it feels. When they were taking the X-rays I had to pick my arm up as high as I could. Everything kind of got blurry then I fainted. Never happened to me before. Heart was beating less than 40 beats per minute. Taking a couple days off work to see if I can get it to feel any better. Can't really fix cars with an arm I can lift very high and a broken thumb on the other hand.

Overshot the finish line jump. I'm guessing my rear end got sideways launching off the jump. Couldn't get it lined back up before i landed. Kinda higsided/ crash into the upside of the next jump. I probably got about 20 laps in before I crashes so it wasn't a total waste of a day.

Sounds like you may have went into shock. When you are in severe pain there are certain nerves that can be affected from you tensing up in an effort to deal with the pain. The affected nerves can cause a slowed heart rate and a drop in blood pressure. Or you may have just damaged a nerve. Who knows. May help to wrap a towel or blanket around yourself and sort of pin your arm against your body when you sleep. You can roll over on your arm or raise it while you are sleeping and you will wake up in pain. Get well soon.

Landing crossed up is my worst fear. Those are the wrecks that rag doll people.

Thanks for the advice!!! I got it on a heating pad right now and a couple pain killers. Already ordered the parts to fix the bike. Hope I'll be back on the track in January. Doc said give it a month or so for the shoulder to feel better. If it doesn't I have to go back for the MRI

Speedy recovery, rider. Gotta say that scares me a bit. Everybody I spoke to that have ridden off road all have plenty of broken bone stories to tell. Part and parcel to riding dirt, I guess. Will have take it real easy myself. I suppose even a noob friendly track will bang you up.

Shoulder is feeling a little better today. Woke up in the middle of the night last night with severe chest pain. Almost like a pulled muscle across my chest. Thanks for all the good wishes MH. Can't wait to get back on the track.

Your chest will be sore because of the subconscious compensation for your shoulder. It's happened to me with shoulder injuries a lot.
