I am not saying that the driver of the car did not break the law, but would the accident have happened if the motorcyclist didnt recklessly accelerate through the intersection?

If the motorcycle stays put like the rest of traffic, no accident. Imagine that You with all of your miles should know the risks you take by getting into an accident with a cager. We do not have a steel structure with airbags surrounding us. This guy is lucky he was able to walk away from this dumbass decision. I had a friend slip into a coma and pass away from much less of a wreck than this.

If an ambulance/firetruck/emergency vehicle was going through the intersection and the light turns green should he go? Common sense says no, but obviously this video shows that common sense isnt very common.

Two wrongs make a right so the rider is absolutely free of any and all liability.
You're welcome

Sorry the quote is, "2 wrongs DON'T make a right" so it's the rider's fault.

You're Welcome

Is clearly the rider's fault!!

C'mon he is speeding trough a blocked intersection! The fact that the light is green does not mean that you can blast trough the intersection blocked with cars that can move at any moment. You are supposed to be careful in this situations. I see these almost everyday at rush hour. Also if you are angry/frustrated better take your chill pill before getting on the bike.
