3 Palms

Anyone been out there in the past week? I heard through the grapevine that they've added some new dirt in some places and combined the main and river tracks. I'll be heading out there tomorrow, but I wanted to see if anyone had ridden it yet. Also, since quads were really only able to ride the river track I wonder where they're allowed to ride now? Woods and back track only?

Sweet, I found a video on YouTube of a guy on a kawi and it looked dope. I just called and talked with Melissa and she said quads are only allowed on the woods track. My roommate won't want to hear that. So, if you've got a quad and want to ride a track it looks like rio's night track is it.

Do they have a mini/ kids track out there? I have been out of the dirt game for a long time and am looking for a track to take my boys to ride their 50's. Been meaning to drop by Rio and check it out too. 3 Palms is a trip from Baytown though so easier to ask someone who has been.

Also, did Highlands/ B&C close down? I thought they had a series running there earlier this year, but drove by a while back and it was all grown over on the night track.

How do you sue them after you've signed the waiver? Seems like that's an old wives tale.

Both Rio and 3P has per wee tracks. Highlands did close down a while back. They kept putting on FB about how they were about to reopen but they're just talking .

There's also a pee wee track down at Ultimate in Alvin (so I've heard). Might be a little closer than Rio or 3P.

Thanks, and I forgot about Ultimate. Rio is a short trip from the house, but that's not too much further.

I know, its lame. You sign a waiver and know what your getting into.

Honestly the guy was a piece of , cheated on his wife whom had two kids with, got divorced, lost his job. People look for handouts and take advantage of small businesses. Its sad. And this happens all over the united states. 50grand would make a family restaurant or something go into a total panic mode.

Idk, maybe im crazy?

Those waivers don't hold up in court. Years ago, I was talking to Trace and Glen about this (Skeeter and Ultimate owners) and they said they offer a track owner practically no protection. If they were notarized when signed, it would be a different story. But who is going to keep a notary on-site at a track?

thats a new one. I thought the issue was quads power slide around the berms and knock out the single track turn that motos like to use.
motorcycles take a corner like >
quads take a corner like )

anyway, F 3 palms. the whole membership thing seems $$ and doesnt make sense to me. Rio has membership too, but its seems simiple, pay $50 and get $10 off gate fee for a year.

Well I did end up making it out there today. Both tracks were in absolutely terrible condition. It looked like they hadn't prepped it for a week and the surface was still really wet from the rain. You basically had to unweight the front through the entire track or you'd bury the front wheel. The new layout for the main/river is ok, but kind of weird if you ask me. They basically cut the river track in half and opened it up to the main track. I enjoyed the river track and now everything that was fun to hit is now closed. I guess the one good thing is that there's plenty if room to get some drive for the last two table tops on the main track. Other than that, I wasn't overly impressed.

Oh, and I did confirm if you ride a quad you're . You get to pay $30 to ride and you're only allowed to ride the woods track. Yes, the WOODS track, smh. That little tiny POS track way in the back, tucked into the "trails"...
