Revving your bike up...

Alright guys,
Just though of this as we rode out to PP1 last night and some guy out there obviously thought it was cool to bounce his bike off the rev limiter about a dozen times as he was leaving... lol

Im just wondering, do any of you do this? I see it happen quite often and i dont understand why! It sounds like , makes you look like a squid and it cant be good for the bike!

I rev mine every now and then (not too often as there is really no point in it) but never to red line so everyone can hear it bounce up and down on the limiter like some of these guys do before they finally let the throttle go. lol And you know its done purposely because they do it over and over and hold it there for awhile.

So please... if you are one of these red line bouncers, please let me know why you do it? Do you think it sounds good or looks cool? If thats the case, get off the drugs!

I suppose thats the reason.

Maybe i just dont see the point in doing it because my bike is so loud as it is. I dont need to rev it up to sound intimidating. It does a good enough job of that at idle!
