Agreed. Hes definitely came a long way from us wondering how long till he kills someone.... But Marquez looks great right now in part on the ups and downs and missed opportunity of the two factory yamaha riders.

Yamaha currently lead the constructors championship and Marquez has not done all the top points scoring for Honda either. He cannot sit in third and still win this. He's going to want to go for a win pretty soon. If yamaha can get their act together or Ducati manage to stay in the mix it could still get intersting.

The 2016 version of the RC213V is not making Marquez look great. Marquez is making Marquez look great.

You're retarded. He's a superior rider on an inferior bike the last two years. The RC213V has lost a step since 2014. I route for Honda so if Marquez changes teams I'll still route for Honda.

Yeah, I got that, but those mistakes wouldn't matter if the 2016 Honda hadn't taken a few steps back from what it was in 2014 because MM was usually way out in front and leaving the pack behind.

2015 - Too much engine

2016- the best electronics package in the paddock is taken away from them..

Hate to see them struggling lol
credit to MM and Cal last time out although Cal's was more about tire choice

Honda has not taken a step back, the others have just raised their game. That's called competition, not socialism. Yamaha and others have innovated while Honda have rested on their laurels. Now they are paying the price.

I still can't beilve my eyes though...Did I really read you correct, that you say Honda makes an inferior bike. .

As for the championship, Marquez is averaging 18 points per race so far this year. That is right between 2nd and 3rd place points which in the past 30 yrs has only been good enough to win the championship a handful of times, yet he leads by two races.

Not questioning his ability as a rider. He is playing this well. It's just not typical to have such a wide lead on less than second place points per round.

As for Marquez usually bieng way out in front... That is perception, not reality.

In Marqs 27 wins to date in MotpGP the numbers are as follows.

Only 6 of 27 have been by more than 3.5 seconds.

None of those were in 2013; 2 in 2014; 1 in 2015; and 3 in 2016.

Taken in more detail;

2013: 6 wins by an avg margin of 1.8 sec and a max of 3.5sec., next biggest margin 2.3sec.

2014: 13 wins by an avg margin of 2 sec and a max of 6.7 sec., next biggest margin 4.1 sec.

2015: 5 wins by an avg margin of 2.5 sec and a max of 7.3 sec, next biggest margin 2.3 sec.

2016 first eleven races: 3 wins by an avg margin of 7.8 sec, and a max of 9.8 sec, the next by 7.6 sec, and the smallest margin 6.1 sec.

So the reality is Marq's winning margins have been increasing year by year and with his greatest winning margins are coming in 2016.

2014 margin of victory is kind of silly. You know he slows up at the end of the race. How many races were, in effect, over before the half way mark?

You know they all now share the same electronics. That' socialism, bro.
