The 1 hour pre-race show on beIN is a waste of time, plus as far as I can tell they don't cover Moto2 or 3 like FS1 did.

They cover it on beIN 2 or beIN 3. Now ask me where those channels are?

Crutchlow's bike was up. Apparently the ECU was confused and the bike got 'lost on track'.

So the ECU is not made or maintained by the manufacturer? Because Crutchlow said it wasn't Honda's fault...

It's freaking Italian. This year the hardware and software are the same for everyone. MotoGP is a joke.

Not letting manufacturers build their own is a joke. Marquez was just lucky to make the podium with that inferior forced on Honda. Might as well let one manufacturer produce the engines like Moto2

Good race and good to see a variety of tire choices amoungst the top runners.

Marquez looked really smooth and Ducatis were there too. COTA should be intersting round for those makes.

Yamaha, more like Lorenzo, proving top speed means little in comparison to corner speed. Going to be good season btwn him and Marquez.

Rossi looking comfortable in fourth. Never showed a wheel back at Marquez or anyone else for that matter.

Regarding electronics... Honda screwed themselves by not being more engaged with their Open teams. To be honest I think the parent company has lost interest and is going car racing in F1 agian.

That said the hardware is same as before, they've been in the same ECU for a coupe, years now. Each mfgr still gets a propretary sensor, so Honda can use their tourqe sensor but the differnce is the software.

Right none the mfgrs seem to be playing it cool and holding back their algorithms for bike dynamics. Justifiably so as these things ae what differentiate modern sport bikes more than actual mechanical bits these days. As time goes on if Ducati, Honda, and Yamaha decide they want more advanced electronics they can get a software update at their discression.

For the past years before 2015, Honda benefited more from mechanical advantage than electronics. Specfically better fuel economy and seamless gear shift. Those gaps are closed now so we get to see a more matured technology now after a few years on this set of rules which makes it more competitive again.

Do you guys know any bar or restaurant that plays MotoGP tomorrow?
Going for a ride with a noob friend in the morning, and want to come back to Houston by 2.00pm to watch the race over a beer.
