Just spoke to David and the track is DONE
A few small details to iron out and it will be reddy to ride.
I'm trying to put something together for us to get out there and test the track out!

Same here, the main reason why I cornerworked a day for Ridesmart.... been waiting patiently to cash it in on that track.

The school house turn looks like the horseshoe at TWS (Texas World Speedway). I see a couple of poles back between it and the road. As long as they put enough gravel there and put a small tirewall up, it should be okay. Since it is a tight turn, people usually don't go too fast into it. I've cornerworked the horseshoe a few times and every time, the crashes/run offs are fine. The distance looks about the same in regards to run off; of course, it could all be a photoptical illusion....

very coolI have yet to be fully bit by the track bug, though I've only had this bike for going on 4 months now
as soon as I get leathers and stuff I'll be all over it
from katy this one is closer than TWS (Texas World Speedway), mileage wise much closer, but I can see it taking me just over an hour to get there, so time wise only a little closer

I'm excited ... between GSS and MSRH I'll have two tracks each about 30 minutes from me. How sweet is that?

That was the first thing my wife asked when I asked her permission ... I mean opinion about me doing trackdays (August 4th will be my first). I told her no ... for now ... but seriously ... what's the point of learning how to go fast on a track if you're not going to race?

Do one track day and you'll understand why!

All depends bud... if you like to be competitive against yourself and others then it certainly makes sense. You got a great bike to get started with especially if you want to endurance race. Which is always the biggest bang for your buck.

IMHO this track has the potential to be the best track in Texas. I think they also have the best membership options based on what the website shows. BUT, call me when they actually break ground. I've been watching this track for a long time and I am disappointed they aren't further along. Not that these things happen overnight, but...

+1 IMHO I don't believe this track's membership dues are the best value for the track and amount of tracktime. If you live right around the corner from it and primarily want to run just GSS, then maybe. Otherwise, you can do trackdays at GSS and various other tracks for about the same per session fees and get the same amount of tracktime with no initial investment.

A friend of mine went out to the Liberty site about a month ago and there was absolutely nothing going on. The forest remains undisturbed and there is no sign of ANY construction. Nada.
There wasn't even a sign. He double checked google earth just to be sure he was in the right place. It's too bad cuz it looks like it could be great.
