Lorenzo crowned the 2015 MotoGP World Champion

This is the Spaniards fifth World Championship victory

Lorenzo crowned the 2015 MotoGP World Champion

MOVISTAR Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo has been crowned the 2015 MotoGP World Champion at Valencia.

After a controversial couple of weeks after Marc Marquez’s and Valentino Rossi’s clash in Sepang, Lorenzo managed to keep on top of the pressure he faced to take his fifth World Championship.

The Spaniard’s 2015 season began with three hard races - two fourths and a fifth. Lorenzo’s Championship standings were already being questioned so early in the season.

Following the three disappointments, four victories followed as the MotoGP paddock return to Europe. Marquez crashed three times which ruled himself out of the Championship title battle.

With this saw Lorenzo have several top five finishes which saw him place himself in contention with his Movistar Yamaha team-mate Rossi.

Despite a crash in Misano, Lorenzo went on to take his ffith World Championship in Valencia with 330-points.
