Black Flag Worthy Pass??

https://youtu.be/_W0sDXfHeDo?t=7m48s
So I got black flagged at MSRH on the 17th due to complaint of an inside pass a big no no in Level 2. Amazingly the offending pass was recorded on video. I will admit I did pass a few guys on the brakes going into a few corners but I don't think I went by anyone who had already tipped in. I come into the frame at 7:54 black EBR with Black, White and Red leathers. So what do you guys think. Clean pass or no?

Wow, someone got hurt about that? I didnt see anything wrong with it, I never got the impression that an unsafe condition was created by you passing the other rider (obviously it was a pass on the straight) thats some BS that they black flagged you for that.

I had a similar situation in level 1 on that Sunday. I was black flagged and it was explicitly stated that it was an inside pass.

I reviewed my helmet footage with two instructors and they couldn't find it.

2010 too fiddy

another coming soon....

I was pit Marshall on this day, and told classax if he didn't make an I side pass then don't worry about it, but sometimes the corner workers don't ride track so they are unaware of what an inside pass is. We try and explain it in the morning when we talk with them, but not everyone gets the concept.

Good job Rossi...your lucky that your leg didn't fly off and knock someone over!! Hopefully you can tell I'm kidding....very clean pass, on the end of pit row, not an inside corner pass in my opinion

If that's a black flag worthy pass I should have been banned from the track.

Dbuck on the other hand had an iffy outside pass in the carousel.

If that was flag worthy in level 2 then someone may as well have sniped me off my bike in level 1. Could it have been any less offensive of a pass?

Yet another reason why I love riding with STT. They don't care about inside passing, just the normal six feet.

Don't concern yourself about that pass. You ride clean and predictable. Stick to what you know and join us in lvl3 so they don't give you over nothing.

As long as the rider being passed hasn't started the tip in its a clean pass. Also I liked that you were more than 6ft away. It looked clean from the footage. What looks like a clean pass to us bc we expected to see it at 7:54. The person complaining may have just been spooked and said something. Then again this is the TM corner so Joey probably called you out and trying to blame it on a cornerworker!

True you got with me heading out for the next session. Prior to getting with me a guy complained about being cut off going into sugar and spice. In the video you can clearly hear and see him get a bit spooked. I think it's more his reaction to rather than my pass.

Don't tell Bevo! Lol. Yea I think one of the things they should teach in class is what to when you get passed close.

I think you nailed, he didn't expect a pass there and it spooked him. Joey specifically said the complaint was that I stood him up. I think more like he didn't expect it and stood it up.

Continued watching footage....I'll be damned.

This is the first I'm seeing of the crash aftermath. I had to have tucked the front coming into DE based on the resting place of my bike. Thanks Classax for posting this video....gives me some closure. lol

Another guy came up on you and nearly* ran over your head as you laid there motionless. Should have sent you the video but didn't. Just know I'm upset enough for you.
