If that idiot would'nt have shot at the Jag then I'm sure the Jag driver would've been brought up on charges.

"If that idiot would'nt have shot at the Jag then I'm sure the Jag driver would've been brought up on charges."

There is nowhere near enough information provided to make any kind of judgement in regards to how it started.

We know someone fired gun at the car, we know the care impacted 1 or 2 bikes and that one rider at least assaulted the vehicle and that the riders were impeding the flow of traffic.

We don't know anything about 'Impeding the flow of traffic'. You can't rely on a video that Fox news claims was the bikers in question. There's no proof that they were they same guys - that could be stock footage for all we know.

If you read the DallasRiders forum you'll see where several people claimed the Jag hit a bike while trying to cut through the group (there are no shoulders on the DNT). Then after his mirror was kicked off that he swerved across three lanes of traffic and hit another biker causing him to fly over the median into oncoming traffic. The dents in the Jag are from hitting bikes not from someone's boot. The Jag NEVER attempted to stop and check on the bikers (in fact, the driver never claimed to) so in my book he's guilty.

No you shouldn't shoot at cars. However, It doesn't make sense that the shooter would follow the guy to the police station. Maybe he really thought he was defending himself??

Go read some of the follow up articles etc Den...

Impeding traffic is repeatedly reported...
One forums has a repair specialist commenting in regards to the 'door' damage. IF the cager was paying attention, dint't see the rider that kicked his mirror off...do you think it MIGHT be possible that he was startled/panic'd to hear the smash/crash saw something out of the corner of his eye and SWERVED.

Lets continue with this, viewing the chain of events and speed at which the events appear to have occured why the would anyone 'stop'? He did however work his way to the Police station didn't he? While on the phone with 911.

I'm sure that investigation is far from over, but superior level of stupidity appears to be with the 'riders'.

here's my idea of what happened

pack of bikes blocking tollroad
dude in jag gets , starts passing into open spot to get past
biker see's it, moves over, car/bike hit, maybe thats the guy who went over the barrier
bikers get , starting banging on the car, start shooting
car is a bigger weapon then bullets, swerves towards bikes.
may hit 1 or 2, whatever

my thoughts:
bikers started it, car ended it.
no charges against car driver. haven't decided whether i think the bikers should be charged.

then you'd see shootings all the time in houston when a car pulls out or changes lanes and almost hits a biker, all you'd have to say is he was trying to kill me

^ there's the attitide that propels it forward.

bikers were in the wrong from the beginning, but get when some defies "their rights" yet they don't think they're inconveniencing anyone else.

The guy in the Jag wasn't startled or suprised by the bikes. Another post claims that at one point he was tailgating and almost hit the back tire of one bike.

This is what really happened: He got impatient because he thought the bikes were 'impeding traffic' (even you claim this) and he decided to 'go around' (those were HIS words - 'go around'). Tell me how you 'go around' if the bikes are blocking all the lanes. There's no shoulder on the DNT. He accidentally hits a bike and think 'oh I better take off'. Half the pack sees it happen and starts following the guy. He got his car kicked and shot at while on a side street - probably stopped at a light or something. This guy needs to get his story straight.

Sorry, but when in doubt I'm gonna take sides with the bikers. I commute everyday and I see more people in cars doing stupid than bikers. At least once a week someone intentionally tries to block me, cut me off, or race me so fck 'em.

No, "we" have a bad image in the media because that's they way the media wants it. They propogate stereotypes to sell newspapers.

who know what happened all i know is my brother lives in dallas and said it was a normal group of guys that ride the toll on a normal basis and he said when he rides with them they are usually flying at least 90 plus ( got to get through the booths) So in my opinion and his as well i dont see how the Jag could accidentallly hit a bike like it was said earlier he was bein a swerving honking his horn (cause you know people that drive Jags are more important than anyone else) and weved and slammed a bike

in the end who knows they are all guilty of somthing everyone one of them let Dallas deal with it maybe everyone will get in trouble and justice will be served or maybe only this one guy GETS F*cked

"We don't know anything about 'Impeding the flow of traffic'. You can't rely on a video that Fox news claims was the bikers in question. "

Your words, right Den?

"Video released by the North Texas Tollway Authority shows that just before the incident on June 10, the bikers were riding in a large group, doing wheelies and blocking all three southbound lanes. "
^Quote from the news site...

"The guy in the Jag wasn't startled or suprised by the bikes. Another post claims that at one point he was tailgating and almost hit the back tire of one bike. "
Precisely how the frag do you KNOW this? Forget 'another post', give a link to a witness account...and where in the sequence of events this 'tailgating' happened.

Mind providing some links to these sources then? I've crawled through several and the only 'witness' commentary 1/2 around seems to be 'Tom', which provides none of the other needed information.

" Tell me how you 'go around' if the bikes are blocking all the lanes. There's no shoulder on the DNT. He accidentally hits a bike and think 'oh I better take off'. "

READ and don't project Den... We have no REAL information on the sequence of events.

"Sorry, but when in doubt I'm gonna take sides with the bikers. I commute everyday and I see more people in cars doing stupid than bikers. At least once a week someone intentionally tries to block me, cut me off, or race me so fck 'em."

Give it a rest...I want to know the whole darn story in the proper sequence of events. Not pick some 'side' like a stupid grade school match off.

um, not really we we (bikers) don't need help w/ bad publicity, we do a damm fine job of advertising.

bikers started it, car ended.......lol at bikers.

sorry i commute too , and i really don't have prob. w/ cars. but if i was in my cage and a pack of bikers was blocking the road, i'd have a prob. w/ them. and prolly go around them, space or no space.
