Houston among cities vying to host College Football Playoff National Championship

Houston is among several cities vying to host the College Football Playoff National Championship, and on Wednesday the Bayou City will learn if it made the cut.

Houston is in the running for the national championship game in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

The College Football Playoff will announce the host cities for the three games on Wednesday.

The 2016 game will be played in Glendale, Arizona, and the game moves to Tampa, Florida, in 2017.

NRG Stadium is hosting an announcement party Wednesday afternoon. We'll bring you the results of the announcement online.
