Nope. That was just me doing my impersonation of "The Little Engine That Could" trying my best to catch back up to the group.

You trying to kill attendance? No one wants to ride that slow. I see the beautiful amazing bikes everyone else is riding. You guys do 0-60 in 4 or 5 seconds. I do 0-60 in 4 or 5 miles.

Carry speed in the corners and, depending on the road, you will torch many of the other riders. Obviously if we are talking 100+ sweepers you are SOL but on stuff that's posted 35 you can outmaneuver the bigger bikes. Not that I think you are trying to be speed racer or anything. That's assuming you're riding the CBR 250 listed in your profile.

Yep. On the 250. And yeah, I kept having to back out of the throttle in the twisties because I would run up on the guys in front of me. Big bikes seem to slow before the curve then accelerate through it. I dont have that kind of acceleration so I have to be running 70 plus before I get to the 35mph curve to get the same effect.

I really hated that about my 300. I'd get stuck behind the guys in the twisties, or I'd pass them in the incoming traffic lane if it was clear, and then they'd blast by me in the straights with blatant disregard for the fact that they were parking it before every turn anyway.

I like the idea of riding FM3090. We could go up 362 to Hwy 6, then to Navasota and do 3090 all the way up to 244, and on to Yankees.

Shuhboogie - Dragging that broom around is what is slowing you down. Too much friction with the road, plus additional weight and windage.

Not to mention the broom was bigger than my little bike. People probably thought some crazy bald headed pregnant witch was chasing you guys.

With the sprocket swap that I did I cant generate enough speed to pass anyone in the straights. Thats when I play catch up. At least Morgstang is nice enough to slow down in the straights so I have a chance to do so. Even then most of my catching up is done at stop signs. LOL
