MPG must be horrible on that last one, they need a bigger gas tank! I'll bet it scoots though!

So I guess you never heard of the RC211V? V5 that DOMINATED MotoGP? Audi makes a production V5 for some of thier sedans, and my wife's TT quattro. I think who ever it was that told you about the "chip" might be refering to the Ducati performance chip, and yes it does exist, but not to the extent he's dreaming of. Most bikes get a PCIII instead and it does help, but 200+MPH......:laughing6

I've heard people say they only use the back brake becasue it works better than the front. Retards.

you missed a perfect chance to tell him you already had one (bought on E-bay for $25) of those chips and now your (fill in the brand/model of your bike here) will go 200+ mph.

Dang..

Yeah, but now your mixing GP tech and auto tech with production TRIUMPH tech. There is no such thing as a V3 is my point. I have also heard of inline 5 cylinders in automotive, but again if someone told me their GSXR-1K was an inline 5 I would die laughing. I know what a Triumph triple is and it is just as inline as my 636. No V about it. There also is an inline 2 cylinder out there on some cycles.

Yeah, works best in the snow/ice! LOL did that person even ride? Tell him that is why there are 2 disks in the front and a tiny one in the rear, because the rear is so much stronger!

or it would just have 2 cylinders on one side, and one cylinder on the other side. similar to the 5cyl motogp bikes. just because it's a V doesn't mean it can only have one piston on each part of the V.

That is what I meant, sorry if it got confused. I'm not so great with words. A V-twin is in planar movement, V3 would have 3 cylinders offset, that is what I meant by 3D.

Basic engine styles:
H type = boxter engine, usually 4 cylinder.
W type = circular array of cylinders around a center, the W-16 is a good example.
V type = most commonly a V6 or V8.
Inline = inline 3, 4 or 5 cylinder typically.

I've seen the shaft driven bikes lift under throttle. I can see where it would give that sensation but not come off the ground unless you get to loading the suspension from throttling in and out abrubtly.
