1st time build

So i picked up 97 tl1000 for cheap ot does run but figured i could use more as a learning bike when it comes to working on them. Was hoping to take it apart and put it back together, not to crazy replace a few parts with newer ones and add a head light. Trying to make it more into a streetfighter since it had no fairings already. just not sure where or how to start on something like that. So any ideas or would be helpful thanks.

The 97 TLS1K is a great bike...if the stabilizer is not on the bike, get one...you should go to www.tlplanet.com , great resource on everything TL and TLS
