First Day at Harley Davidson

First day at Harley-Davidson Inc. in Milwaukee.
Left H-Ville Friday morning and drove in the ungodly pouring RAIN up to Little Rock. Should have been 7 hours. Took over 9.
Saturday I drove about 90 miles in the pouring RAIN. Hit a dog. Tore off my muffler. County boys pulled in right behind me and gave me 10 minutes to fix it, in the pouring RAIN. Then they called a tow truck.
It took him about 30 minutes. Just as he pulled up I had it fixed. But I didn’t really trust it because I was working in the pouring RAIN. $250
North of St. Luis I had a 653mph cross wind. HOLY 773H !!!!!
But now I’m sittin in my new cube looking at a whole row of brand new concept Harleys sitting on the floor in front of me.
This is COOL !!

You'll fit right in at HD:
You took too long to make a simple trip
Parts fell off
Tow truck used
you bitched about the weather

^^^^^^
Well, it's been over 12 years since I've been back in this area. Now I'm not sure I want to make friends . . .
Yesterday, on the test track a guy hit a rabbit on a Street Glide and another guy hit a coyote on a trike. Speed limit on the track is 35 so - - - nothing bad happend (unless you were the rabbit or coyote).

speed limit on the track???

Oh, I get it - Harleys never exceed 15 *below* the speed limit, so that makes sense

HA - I suppose -
It's the "test" track. Looks to be about ľ mile and fairly narrow.
Interesting ideas on personnel here. About 100 engineers all in the same huge room. VPs and all. No one has a private corner office with a gold name tag. Actually, even all the upper management share a cube (low wall type) right out int the middle. No "suits". Everyone is very casual.

Fridays are underwear day......

1) This is why I don't like those little ankle-biters. They just don't take well to getting run over. You should have just got it a rawhide bone.

2) 653 miles per hour wind?! Jeeeeeeezus... that's what, a category 84 tornado?

JK... good luck with the new job
