You'll probably end up doing even less than 20% dirt. Especially if you start taking time off and doing some destination trips with dirt at the end, CO, AR, Appalachia, etc. Easy to rack up the miles traveling around. Don't worry about resale, just ride it for max enjoyment. Makes that hit easier to swallow when you resell if you got good use from it. I picked up my new adv bike end of Jan this year with 1 mile on the odo. Now at almost 29,000 and all for pleasure, not a single mile commuting, work or plain transportation.

_

I don't think Adam EVER worries about resale.....

Trailering an Adventure bike? You're bike is crying inside.

I was already saving up, thought he was buying an Adventure R. Oh well I'll find another use for the money.

Not feeling that top case at all. But if it gets your lady riding behind you then worth it.

There is an aftermarket cruise available for the 1190. Have it on mine, from Brandon Dist.

Is it electronic or friction type? I have a friction type on the 990, got spoiled by my Beemer. 1290 SA is electronic

Electronic, ties into the ride by wire throttle. Works just like the cruise on your car.

Found it on their website, unfortunately the other one is too big and bulky for my 990.

Farkles
Got my base plate in and mounted my top case. Not sure If I like it or not :\ will make a good back rest for the old lady tho. Will probably use my soft tail bag for shenanigans and off roading.
Xgrip Cell phone mount....seems kinda iffy.
If you're not feeling that top case, Kappa makes a top case that is the more industrial type look. Its the same as the Givi Outback Trekker 42 liter case, just has a different name on it and is $100 cheaper. I'm pretty sure Givi actually makes the Kappa cases. I just bought one and it's great quality. I got it here: http://tourandride.com/browse-produc...op-case-detail

I put a review of it on youtube if you want to see it in more detail:
