First tank of gas today! I think the range on this beast is a lot longer than what I can handle....

My super duke is identical, don't trust the estimated fuel range, it's way off.

nice bike, congrats!

Figures.....the range went from 120 to like 60 then 40 in 30 miles are so. Was kind of wierd how the last fuel bar initially said 120 miles to empty.

I can already tell its got great power. I still havent really gotten on it past maybe 75% but it moves. And honestly the weight isnt an issue at all. Feels so nimble and almost feels like my 690.

Cant wait to take off MCT and beat the out of it.

I ran smack out of gas with 2 fuel bars left, the fuel light never came on (it came on for sure a few times previously). KTM/Wild West replaced the entire gauge cluster under warranty.

Got my base plate in and mounted my top case. Not sure If I like it or not :\ will make a good back rest for the old lady tho. Will probably use my soft tail bag for shenanigans and off roading.
Xgrip Cell phone mount....seems kinda iffy.

We're out riding, no time for MH. The day you bought this I was riding forestry roads in NC. Going back for more this weekend and then riding the bike home. My Tenere is 75 lbs heavier with 50 less hp but I'll still give you a run for your money anywhere off pavement. Put some knobbies on that beast and let's go riding!

Not feeling that top case at all. But if it gets your lady riding behind you then worth it.

I picked up the even bigger brother last week, the Super Adventure. The estimated range is goofy optimistic. Tank holds just under 8 gallons, folks online are getting 40 mpg on the road, and the computer says 430 mile range. Must be some new math.

Adventure R is too dirt oriented for me. I really didn't want the 21" front rim. Im more likely to do 20% dirt on this thing....maybe a track day or two

I thought about it though....Straightline Racing in Dallas was selling the R model cheaper then the regular adventure.

Plus the Adventure R has a smaller gas tank also I believe.

You'll probably end up doing even less than 20% dirt. Especially if you start taking time off and doing some destination trips with dirt at the end, CO, AR, Appalachia, etc. Easy to rack up the miles traveling around. Don't worry about resale, just ride it for max enjoyment. Makes that hit easier to swallow when you resell if you got good use from it. I picked up my new adv bike end of Jan this year with 1 mile on the odo. Now at almost 29,000 and all for pleasure, not a single mile commuting, work or plain transportation.
