Just stating the facts.

It is kinda funny tho. I have a guy I work with that is a died in the wool Harley rider. Always making fun of my rice burner.

One day he was at the house, and I asked if he wanted to try mine out..

Came back with a huge smile on his face, shaking like a leaf. "That is nothing but an engine on wheels" is what he had to say... I told him he should try something with some power, as opposed to my old mans Bandit, but he said "no, thanks!"

He doesn't talk anymore....

We all have our opinions. So I might as well share mine...

I don't care what you ride. As long as you have fun doing it, then by all means go ahead. I don't have a problem riding with sportbikes, metric cruisers, cruisers, scooters, 50s...whatever, once you have that love inside we're all the same.

You opinion might be different from mine, but hey if it is then so be it. If a cruiser guy hates, he hates...so be it. I have far greater concerns in my life that what another person thinks of me.

If you guys think it's just generalized to motorcycles you should take a walk in my shoes. My first name is Arabic, I look like thy enemy...you should see the stares, jeers, and hear some of the comments I receive from the general public. Everyone assumes...however when I open my mouth and speak with greater clarity than most who reside here they are flabbergasted. They then get really confused when I say I am Roman Catholic. So I say screw it, let everyone assume. In the end they are the ones missing out on something. Like stated above, I don't care what you ride (or your background, your social status, your economic status, whatever), once you are keen on just motoring along on 2 wheels you're cool in my book.

no doubt the old motor is old technology, but the most have a tude, gimmie a break, I happen to know craploads of harley folk who dont really give it as much thought as you guys obviously do. It seems if a harley doesnt wave, it must be because they are touting tudes, not because most are older. Truth be told, facts being stated, I, or rather my choice of ride gets more negative vibes and attitudes from this site over any others.
it doesnt make sense, we are both on two wheels

My brother in-law has a harley, I love riding it. Just as he likes riding mine, they are a different feel. I went with a crotch rocket due to age truthfully, but I would gladly ride a harley. Course, my next bike will be a ducati...so

there is a tude on the site bout cruisers, but in person, at least to my face (yea, I ride a buell) everyone has been just great. Even if I had to choose again, I'd still pick a buell first...

but then the ducati =]

to start I hate everyone equaly.

A harley is more of a status symbol, between owners, the difference is the age spread. Most young adults cant afford a 14-20k harley.

For the last five years I ride at the largest harley based rally in the world, Sturgis, sd. For the past three Years I have been on a sport bike, no-one has had a problem with me, nor have I with them. Most hd riders are older and more mature, so the two cultures rarely mix.

No, Ive heard it differently.

It's something like this,

"The most common place to find a Harley is broken down on the side of the road."
