LOWERING A 97 TL1000

WHAT DO I DO I HAVENT SEEN ANYTHING LIKE LINKS THAT ARE MADE FOR IT ANYBODY GOT ANY INFO OR LINKS THAT MIGHT HELP ME OUT

Why are you lowering it? It affects handling. Is it too tall? Shave the seat first. You also are going to have to lower the front, or strap the front (straps for drag strip only, they are not permanent). I hope your not doing it for looks. Plus, when you ride 2 up your belly will scrape, ask Korn13.

Yea I had to lower mine. Only rode on it 2up 3 or 4 times and the back tire was already burning a hole through the bottom of the seat compartment. :eh:

Mine was on the lowest and it made it REALLY rough on the riding too, suspension was terrible.

Oh yeah, forgot about that little issue too! :laughing6 :laughing6 :laughing6

Lowering a bike is not like lowering a car. There are a million more things to worry about when you do. Think of a car as a square, you can shorten the sides without affecting the square because everything still goes up/down. A bike is more like a triangle because your forks and swing arm all spring toward the center of gravity. If you change the geometry wrong bad things can happen.

i am lowering my busa this weekend but i am not looking to go more than 1" or so, me its for looks and i am going to start some 1/8 mile track racing on weekends but i like the way they look lowered, any way i will see what i can find for links on the tlr, let you know later
