Unfortunately not. My instructor had a clip, just one lap, but I didn't have any storage media for him to put it on. All I have to show are the pictures from Hart Photography.

However, I've been in lvl2 for a couple of years now and I know what that comes with. I have no desire to race so I'm not bothered about moving up a level but lvl2 does allow me to run at a pace I'm comfortable with that allows me to practice all the things I want to work on at each Track Day in the knowledge that I'm not under pressure to perform above my limit in lvl3 or worry about an inside pass that might spook me.

I ran lvl1.5 a few months back just out of interest and I got a lot out of it but I was passing nearly the entire field (felt great at the time!) so I reverted back to lvl2. IMO try lvl1.5 one time and then try lvl2 - if the pace is too much then just ask to bump down a level. Good luck
That's some great info, thank you. I was not really booking it, there are at least a few easy seconds to come off those lap times. Sounds like level 2 is the way to go. I had the same experience of passing what felt like the entire field multiple times per session.

I believe I saw you out there. I wasn't your instructor but looks like you were running a good pace. If an instructor saw your pace but more importantly your lines and they recommended you to lvl2 then make the move. Having people running a very hot pace for a slower level is both dangerous for you and the other riders trying to learn around you. Also it is not true bumping someone to 3 just to make room in 2 or 1. They need to be ready. They must maintain the pace and lines or they need to stay where they are.

Regarding the ARC, we are still trying to see if it's something that's worth promoting. It's more cost to the rider and more work for the school. Lots of prep work and new ideas that are beyond the other levels that are unique for your hard earned dollar. I think we'll have it again but are still trying to find the combo of material and instructor.

Next track day sign up for level 1. Then get with a instructor early and tell them you would like to move to L2. Sounds like your pace is good. You need to know the fast line and be predictable and consistent, fair body positioning, good throttle and brake control ie smooth and obey the passing rules. If an instructor gives you the okay you should be able move two L2.

I have done some other sports and it may be something that the students a have progressed to a point where they can almost learn from trial and error

They tried to force my buddy up to level 3 when he clearly didn't have good enough pace or consistent lines and most importantly he didn't feel comfortable moving up. It was like his 3rd ever track day.

Yea that shouldn't happen. He needs to have predictable lines even more so than speed to be in 3. Also he needs to have the option, not forced. This where the ARC would've been great for him. Still working on it

Well he leaves the promoting to us. Next time that happens let us know. If the level is full it's full.

No one is forced to L3. I'd like to know how someone got the idea they were being forced to go to L3.

See you say that yet it happened. When someone tells ridesmart they don't feel comfortable or want to be bumped up to level 3 and they still try and get him to bump up sounds a lot like trying to force them up into level 3.

Quan, it's a joke calm down. My digestive system can't handle it and made for an interesting time trying to get out of two onesies very quickly.
