BSB 2015 Championship standings after Brands Hatch

THE 2015 British Superbike Championship has now ended with Australian Josh Brookes taking the title crown for the first time in his career.

The Milwaukee Yamaha rider has finished the 2015 BSB Championship with 703 points, despite his first DNF of the season happening in the final race of the year. Brookes has also become the first Australian to win the British Superbike title since Troy Bayliss in 1999.

Shane 'Shakey' Byrne, who will be on a PBM Ducati next year, finished in second with 662 points while James Ellison finished in third for the JG Speedfit Kawasaki team.

Tyco BMW's Michael Laverty marginally pulled himself up as he won his first race of the season to finish with 601 points, while his teammate Tommy Bridewell finished in sixth.

The British Superbike Championship is now over until April next year, but teams will be heading to various circuits to undergo intense winter testing before the 2016 championship begins.
