MotoGP 2015 Championship standings after Phillip Island

VALENTINO Rossi is in deep water after finishing in fourth at Phillip Island whilst his title rival Jorge Lorenzo finished second diminishing the Italian's Championship lead to just 11-points.

Two rounds remain of the 2015 MotoGP World Championship with the Champion set to most likely be Movistar Yamaha's Rossi or Lorenzo. The reigning World Champion Marc Marquez is third in the Championship with 222-points ahead of Malaysian round.

Ducati's Andrea Iannone is in fourth after finishing third in Australia whilst Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa is fifth with 165-points.

British rider Bradley Smith is sixth with 158-points whilst Cal Crutchlow is down in eighth with only 107-points for the LCR Honda team.

The next round is in Malaysia next weekend at the Sepang International Circuit.
