I can't make this one, but appreciate you keeping the Houston riders in mind. Next time!

Im thinking we are probably going to ride the 1st route i mentioned for Sunday...the pace is going to be a more laid back pace but im sure at times the lead pack will be at a spirited pace thru some corners...i like to keep the group together so even if we wick it up a little in the curves i always slow down and let the group catch up...
For those who want to ride at a more spirited pace Sat would be the day...i dont think we will have the turnout then as we are Sun..
There are some newer riders and less experienced riders coming Sunday so i would rather it be a relaxed pace so no-one feels uneasy...Hwy 3090 to Carlos is a pretty technical road which is better ridden by more experienced riders so we wont do that ride this Sunday...sorry if i sound like dad i just want everyone to be safe and enjoy there day...

I went up the bottom half of 3090 with a friend on Saturday, lots of gravel, just be aware. Top half was OK.

Define the bottom half...we rode all the way from Navasota to Yankees on 3090 and the road was fine...is there more of 3090 that we are missing?...i guess ive never payed attention to the road numbers...does 3090 from Navasota run into 149 at the T?...we then turn left and go to the next T in the road which is 244 i think..we turn left and that goes to Carlos..was that route where you saw gravel?

Bottom half starts at the S curve that goes down hill up to where 149 intersects. We had some gravel in the area that floods there in the low spots, and then a few spots here and there for a mile or so after that.

Runs like a top. I got some F4i forks I am going to put on it soon. Possibly by the weekend but most likely not. Looking for an FJR1300 for my next bike but most likely will keep the 919 as well.

3090 sounds fun. My 250 is "spirited". Like a Shetland pony with two legs spirited. Guess I'll have to make that run another day just to see what it's about.
