wait a minute. The trailer was parked ON your property and you got a ticket?

I thought you had to be on the road to need a plate??

yea apparently the city ordinance says i cant be parked on grass, the side of my house has grass, my evo8 was parked half on the drivewaty and half on the sidegrass so he gave me two parking tickets, one for the trailer(with supposedly no plate) and one for the car

that's better than getting a ticket for accidentally leaving your garage open overnight. Happened to me when I lived in the western burbs of Chicago....I can see it as being theft deterrant, but to write a ticket for a first time offense...BS!!!!

Unless a cop has a warrant they have no rights to be on YOUR property as long as its clearly posted private property....That is a bs law about parking on the grass i would have challenged the cop told him to get the **** off your property and to get his supervisor out there asap.....about 90% of the time i am packing when i am working on my driveway or in my workshop my neighbors know better not to walk up on my unannounced the guy across the street from me learned the hard way one nite

You're in SA so I don't know how the ordinances work there.

Tickets can be issued on private property if a violation is observed. Its used quite often to motivate negligent property owners to tear down old homes that have become crack houses. Usually the tickets are for high weeds, standing water, broken windows, junk vehicles stuff like that.

If they wrote you for not having license on your bike trailer it would seem logical that it was b/c of some ordinance against having unregistered vehicles on your property. Usually this is used for people that have 10 junk vehicles sitting on their front lawn, not just a bike trailer with no tags.

Its really nothing to get in an uproar about..... HOA's are far worse.

NO its san antonio, I lived there 25 years, the only way to fix it, is to leave the town.

My dad has his sunday driver vert mustang in the drivway, 1990 5.0 pristine condidtion, registered inspected and insured; he keeps a car cover on it, to keep the tree sap off the car. The punk san antonio city ord cops keep giving him a ticket for having a car cover on it :dontknow: (police trying to show they are in charge).

The whole leo dept IMO, are pos in that town.

Um... no. A cop doesn't have to have a warrant if he sees a violation on your property. That gives him probable cause.
He doesn't have to call his supv just cause you say so.
And if he sees you packing after he comes on your property for prob cause, he almost certainly will arrest you.
If you threaten him with it even verbally you might die.
Remember you can beat the rap but not the ride. He don't even have to see a violation to arrest you if you him off.

and this is bullshit, private property is private property, i wouldnt give a if it was the pope of the president, cops are getting way to powerful, and having a concealed weapon on my property is perfectly legal, wether its a cop or not.
it just seems like there was never a cop around when i needed one, not when my truck got broken into and all got stolen,
not when my fuqin truck got stolen,
not when some stole my kids bike and i got two rounds off on his in the backyard (i hope that dead),
not when my lawnmower got stolen

oh well i could go on and on but why

but i will get a non jury trial and two extensions and waste a shitload of everybodies time and some city money, cuz i got the time
