I'll be ready to head out about 1-3pm. I am at Woodlands PKWY/Gosling should only take a 10-15min to get to your place. I think "NorthHoustonCBR" was also looking to ride and he's in Kingwood. Maybe he'll see this thread.

Had a good time. One rider could not get his bike started and I stayed to help him. Then two slow cars got in front of us and we lost you. Great ride anyways. Hope to do it again.

I've been over all those roads. Time will depend on how bad you are busting the speed limit. Probably a couple to three hours ticket free. Also depends where you start from, it takes me 30-40 minutes to get up to the Tomball area.

There was a really hard turn that said 25mph and it was one of those you better be doing 25mph or you're going down turns. (well for the newbies at least). We rode for about 5 or 10 miles stopped at a gas station and only 6 people were there. The other 7 or 8 never showed. We went back and one of the squids in the other group had wiped out on that hard turn. He said he was doing 90mph.. (hmm not smart). He wasn't wearing a jacket but appeared to be fine. I don't believe he was going that fast he didn't have any cuts or road rash at all. His fairings got cracked and I believe his left handle grip was bent upwards.

I don't think any of them were board members though.

I had 3 letters for him when we got to the gas station after riding behind him through the forest. 'M S F'. Seriously, I am new also (I took the MSF) but this kid was all over the turns on the way back, I decided to stay behind him just to make sure he made it through the forest. The rest of the group took off and left him behind.

Speaking of which, Dan got left behind waiting for one of the OTHER group riders who couldn't get his bike started. Then by the time they got going the entire group was already turned off on a different road and gone. So our group pretty much got split up due to the squid group that we stopped for.

This was only my 2nd group ride. Is it a common thing to meet up with another group that you might see on the way and have them ride with your group? I would think you would want to avoid that sort of thing to prevent these types of situations where your initial group gets confused and left behind.

I don't like to ride in big groups with a bunch of peeps I don't know, so I would tend to pull off and let them go their own way. That is one of the drawbacks to riding known routes on the weekends.

Right we were a group of 5. One of our guys Mike did stop at the next turn and waited as all bikes went past. He didn't see anyone else so he went. The guy from our group that was left behind was stuck around a corner behind 2 slow cars with a guy from the other group. So in this situation we had just added 8 or 9 bikers to our group and thats when Dan got left behind. It wasn't until 10 miles down the road that we stopped at a gas station to wait for everyone. 10 minutes later more than half the group still hadn't shown up so we all went back and found that one of the other guys had lost it but was ok.

And even then we were still missing 2 guys so most of us decided to keep going back to find Dan and he was waiting at the turn. So from there we all kept going back except for David our leader who continued on with 2 other guys from the other group.

But you guys answered the question and I will definitely remember to decline any other groups from joining the group I am in, unless someone knows who they are.
