my bad, I was slacking....FYI 9 times out of 10 if the weather is cooperating there is someone at the normal meet spot heading to Fayetville. I really didn't organize this ride, I was just a follower.

Jimmy, how do you know my lines improved...you were in the front most of the day, even when you passed the turn into chappel hill:laughing6 If you don't know your way around you may want to follow somebody:icon_bigg

But yeah, my days of riding the street "fast" are over. I couldn't help but look at all the possible "obstacles" as I flew by them. 2 points in todays ride that made me really think of backing off the throttle.
1. Passing through the "spot" of Thorn's accident caught me off guard. Elevation change and quick switchback caught me when I leasted expected. (Scenic route 390 just after crossing 36 for those who know the backroads). I managed through with out breaking my line but it just made awful memories/thoughts run through my melon.
2. I passed that sitting off to the side of the road as I was doing ???mph and thought , it'd suck to crash right there.

Although I still like the adrenaline rush of my SMR's, I figured I can start taking slower doses... I have a wonderful fiance that I love dearly and hope to make a family with one day. I'm sure she'll appreciate me dropping a couple notches on the "rush" ladder that I love so much. At either rate, I'll see you guys next time And Max, you'll get an invite, I promise.

Sorry I couldn't be there Jet....Yankee informed me, but I had a wedding to attend. Hope you had a good one.

Jimmy- I'm not at all complaining about the pace of our ride, just that I'll be taking a few steps back...maybe it was because that was the forst time in the seat since the track as well. I really do need to get out more than once a month.

So, now would be a bad time to ask if we could move this week's Sunday ride to Saturday, huh? For real though, I have to get out of going to a Bridal Extravaganza.
