Mcilvoy Minute: Rockets open camp with high expectations

It's time to get back work again for the Rockets who saw their season end earlier than they had hoped at the end of the 2014-2015 campaign.

The Rockets won 56 games and then rolled to the Western Conference Finals against the eventual champion Golden State Warriors Warriors. The Rockets got there thanks to a series rally from a 3-1 deficit to get past the Los Angeles Clippers to advance.

The core is back and many feel the Rockets are a legitimate championship contender in the always talented and deep Western Conference race.

While they lost Josh Smith in the offseason, the Rockets added point guard Ty Lawson who hopes Houston is a perfect fit on and off the court.

Tuesday the Rockets officially opened camp.  James Harden and head coach Kevin McHale weighed in on the first day and team chemistry.
