Astros beat Mariners 3-2 in first game of six-game trip

The Astros defeated the Seattle Mariners 3-2 Monday at Safeco Field.

Houston raced out to a 2-0 lead with solo home runs from George Springer and Evan Gattis in the first inning.

Seattle scored its first run in the bottom of the first when Mark Trumbo hit a single that scored Kyle Seager. The Mariners tied the game at 2 with a solo home run by Ketel Marte in the sixth inning.

Astros first baseman Chris Carter hit the game-deciding home run in the seventh inning to make it 3-2.

We'll have more here about the Astros game shortly.
