I have an fz-07, get the fz-09.

fz-07 is great lots of fun, lots of torque for its size its so much fun to wheelie,

the suspension is not the best if you like curvy roads. It's non adjustable you can only adjust preload on the rear. Its great for commuting. The seat is very uncomfortable if you're on the bike for more than an hour. Top speed is like 120ish if that's a factor for you. The oem tires are pilot road 3's which are awesome, got like 9500 miles on mine need to buy a new rear shortly. As with any naked bike the wind is what makes it the most uncomfortable to ride, if you get one get a windshield the bigger the better, anything above 80mph for a while and your neck is going to hurt. I've ridden the ducati monster 1200, aprillia tuono, and a gsxs 750 and the fz-07 is by far the worst when it comes to the wind you feel. But for the price it really is a great bike.

why I say get the fz-09? slight increase in price for better suspension and more power.

+1. Street Triple R is the way to go if you want a middle weight naked bike.

like previous stated, Get the fz09 over the 07. Fz09 is probably one of the best bangs for your buck to come out in a long time. Tons of power without having to lug around a bunch of weight

True. There is something to be said about a windscreen. I bought a Tiger last week and that windscreen is magic. Can ride all day in comfort.

What kind of riding do you do the majority of the time?

Do you do any canyon riding? nope

How often do you ride over a ton? weekend only

Are you content riding behind bumpers are do you pass asap?behind bumpa

Riding to/from work often in Houston traffic? No

How old are you? (prefer fetal position compared to upright riding position)
27,upright posistion
Lots of unknown factors to really give you advise.

What kind of riding do you do the majority of the time?cruising around Houston and sometime speed when road is empty but don't do stunts stuff.

looking to hit up msr in the future.
