TTBC Mad Dawg Nationals

This weekend is the Texas Tornado Boot Camp "Mad Dawg Nationals"
We put together a Mad Dawg bike in 2 weeks, starting with a 2003 TTR 125, we added a BBR big bore 150 kit, some head and intake porting work, a 28mm carb, a Uni air filter, and a BT45 rear tire.

I raced Dirt Wars 10 and had a freaking blast, I raced the Pro Dirt Wars class as well as the Pro Mad Dawg class, needless to say I got slaughtered in the Mad Dawg class, the pros are real pros and I hadn't ridden there in 2 years so I was rusty until the very last race of the night.

We built this little jewel to give it another shot at this coming Saturdays National.

There should be a big crowd there. The CMRA are now out there in force.

Bike looks great. Someone has to give Joe P and Haner a run.

Good Luck

That is a 16" BT45 with grooves cut in it. The tire of choice for the boot camp bikes, short of getting a proper 17" wheel with a rain tire, this is the set up to use.

Yes at TTBC in Willis/Conroe, gates open at 2, practice starts at 3:30, races start at 5, all times are sharp and it is non FKN stop till the end. If you're racing, you better be paying attention to the announcer, the races last nearly 2 minutes each, as soon as one is over, the next race is on the line ready to roll.

I enjoy going to these. It was my understanding that you can even rent a bike for like $150 to race all night. Pretty sweet...

I believe you can get a bike for $35 this weekend! Otherwise it is $135 to thrash their bikes.

You were correct, this weekend you'll need to bring your own bike to ride/race.
